We only meter the number of AD users in these scenarios. In this case, we would license 300 AD users and not the Entra ID accounts.

The licenses are counted based on the total number of enabled user accounts.

If both Active Directory domain(s) and Azure AD tenant(s) are being managed with the software, licenses are required for all enabled user accounts in the Active Directory domain(s) being managed with the product. Those licenses cover both Active Directory and Azure AD. An Active Directory domain is being managed by the product when there is a Commvault Cloud agent installed on at least one of the domain controllers in that domain. An enabled user account is any user account in Active Directory which has not been set to disabled.
