We are going to purchase endpoint backup solution from metallic, we want to know how to configured backup policies and define backup storage, this is installation and configuration from scratch. Is there any document to configure Metallica tenant, endpoint backup policies etc.
Thanks

Hi Aju
Metallic end point backup agent will call for TCP ports 443/80 to be opened to *.Metallic.io proxies and *.blob.core.windows.net Please see here: Network Connectivity (metallic.io)
If the network is restricted to only go through HTTPS proxies than please open a support case and they will make the tweaks on the installer to make it work. The first-time configuration will create the necessary setup on the metallic side for the backups to be successful. It will provision the storage container and the backup plans, groups and more. After that you can add more endpoints by simply pushing the same downloaded software on them.
ADFS or SAML are not required but highly recommended as without external identity providers your tenant admin would need to create and maintain the end users list and credentials on Metallic.
On user PC or notebook we are going to installed endpoint package to backup and monitor endpoint data what TCP ports are required to be open from endpoint notebook and metallic cloud to do backup.
The first time configuration of endpoint there is a wizard “Ready to protect your Endpoints? Click Continue to have Metallic prepare the storage and plans” does it will created storage policy with copy, library etc. as I have attached screen shot file
