How to ADD (implement) Commvault Cloud (Metallic)

Hello,

i have stable working environment of Commvault 11.40. Now i want few of mine AUX copy direct into CLOUD (Commvault Cloud SaaS) .I add taht i am not completally newby in cloud area as we have already Azure bloob as library.  Back to subject up to now i found that it work on capacity license what if good understood i paid license and Commvault give me space / storage & MAs etc.

 

What i an not found how it look from on premise current CV  env ...where is any instruction how to add Cloud Env to on Prem exist env ….. how to add library, MA’s , after that storage policies copies based on previous ones etc ) . Also is any doc how is that SaaS env manged from Commvault side ? Is any www page where i connect or i have it in command center / commcell console  ?

 

Resuming how to move from onPrem env to Hybrid Env

Hi ​@Marcin_CF,

Having a little trouble understanding your question - but I believe you are figuring out how to copy data from your local Commvault environment into Commvault Cloud SaaS, and potentially create a hybrid environment where some workloads are SaaS managed and some are managed yourself using your software subscription.

Software licenses and Commvault Cloud SaaS are separate products - your capacity does not give you the capability to use Commvault Cloud SaaS - so you cannot auxcopy data or transfer workloads from Software to Commvault Cloud SaaS.

If you want SaaS managed Commvault, you’ll have to purchase a SaaS subscription separately.

    ok easy words i have NOW on premise working CV environment . Want in future one of data copy send to CV SaaS (Metallic) . Where i can read  what i need to buy (license etc) and how it work such hybrid environment
