I am trying to export the old backed up mailbox to a PST but it showed error that “Selected items size [43524715222 bytes] exceed max size allowed to export [26843545600 bytes]”. I could not split the folder as it is just one folder [Inbox]. Any idea how to resolve this? Thank you.

I think there is a limit on 25 GB on Metallic when exporting. Added link from earlier answer.
You can always split it manually even if its one folder. But I guess best solution would be to create a new mailbox and restore to this, and then do a PST export from the new mailbox directly.
The documentation still states the 25 GB limit

As this is due to the default maximum size of export to PST, can you try exporting messages instead of the folder? As an alternate, you can set up an Azure VM in the region where O365 workload is, Install Outlook 64 bit and Metallic windows seeding package so that restore to a file location can be enabled.
