Metallic Infrastructure needed on AWS

Hello,

What is the Metallic Infrastructure needed on AWS?

I mean, the customer will have to deploy (and pay) for compute(ec2)+storage (S3) resources on AWS.

Regarding the compute part, I am understanding that Backup Gateway (EC2) is required. What about the Media Agent. Is it also required?

Any other compute node is required beyond the GW?

Thanks!

Cesar

HI Cesar
The Gateway is the only resource you will need to backup everything we support on AWS. It will run the process and Services needed to perform deduped, encrypted, and cataloged backup to the S3 bucket with an option to run a copy to Metallic Cloud storage or to a secondary S3 bucket for increased redundancy.
If the gateway needs to be scaled, we can look at adding resources on the gateway VM or adding more gateways. this can be covered on a design workshop
Please see the high-level architecture displayed by the metallic setup workflow on the metallic hub
