Custom Aapp Authentication is required to be enabled at Tenant level in order for backups to run. Is this mandatory prereq or is there a workaround it?

Thanks for reaching out on the Metallic community. Based on what I can see in the following documentation, Use the Express Configuration to Create a SharePoint Online App, this is a prerequisite and requirement in order for the backup to run successfully.
