Currently, I am using a media agent server with Tape Library LTO 6. We are in the process of purchasing a new tape library, LTO9. Do I have the ability to connect to a parallel 2 tape library? There will be no backups performed on the old system, but items will need to be restored if necessary; the new system will need to copy the new data.

In short, yes you can have two different Tape Libraries connected to the same MediaAgent used in parallel.
So long as the Operating System of the MediaAgent and the Zoning are configured to recognize the two devices as separate libraries, you can have both configured as unique Library entities in CommVault.
