Hello

I registered a schedule to run only File system full backup in the V11 SP16 environment.
However, it has been confirmed that only incremental backup continues to run when checking the backup history.
Can this phenomenon be modified to Hotfix?

@tmyoo , were you able to get this resolved?  Ensure that you don’t have any other schedules for this client.  you may have edited one schedule to run only Fulls, but have other associations to run Incrementals.

To check, right-click the subclient and view the schedules.

Another possibility is that you are running Synth Fulls and set an Incremental to run first s part of that job.

Hi @tmyoo

Thank you for the question and welcome to the Community!

You can control Full, Incremental, Differential, Synthetic full backup frequency using Plans or Schedule Policies.

Server Plans are the simplest way to manage these and have certain default values pre-set with the most common options, for example, a weekly full backup and daily incrementals.

If you want to be more granular and specific, then you can use Schedule Policies to configure which backup types run when and with what frequency, which should achieve what you need.

Please take a look at Scheduling Overview.

Thanks,

Stuart

Hello

Currently, the Commvault schedule is set to run only Full Backup.
However, instead of Full Backup, 'Incremental Backup' is running at the scheduled time.

Hi @tmyoo

We need to check in a little more detail, please can you provide some screenshots or more details so we can check?

Otherwise, the best next step is raise a support case so we can check the configuration with you.

Thanks,

Stuart
