Hi,

An update from version 11.36.102 to version 11.40 is planned. Commserve runs on Windows Server 2016, and the Media Agents run on Red Hat 9.7. The M365 backup (Exchange Online, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint) uses access node servers running Windows Server 2016.
According to the documentation, a machine running Windows Server 2025 can be used as an access node for Exchange Online.

However, for the other applications (OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint), the documentation specifies a maximum of Windows Server 2022.

Is it possible to use Windows Server 2025 even though it isn’t on the compatibility list? When will Windows 2025 be listed as supported?

Regards,

Michal

Hi mextrinsic,

Curious, may I ask why 11.40 and not 11.44?

Back to the question at hand, expect Server 2025 to be supported for the remaining Microsoft applications. It’s more a matter of updating documentation on our side rather than an absolute ceiling of supportability as per the disclaimer also listed on the page.

Feedback has been submitted to the documentation team and this will be updated accordingly. In the meantime, proceed as-is.
