Currently we have two physical media agent servers and using only index cache. The deduplication feature is enabled on target end (Dedup appliance).
Now we want to add two new media agent servers and after few days will remove old media agent servers.
Shall we move indexing data from old media agent to new media agent servers.

Hi @AnandK
Yes, you can move the index cache from your old MediaAgent servers to the new ones. This is a common scenario when migrating or replacing MediaAgents in a Commvault environment.
You can also use the Change Index Server workflow to move all of the indexing associations from one MediaAgent to another MediaAgent. This method is useful for bulk changes to indexing MediaAgent associations.

Manual copy of the index to a different MA server is not a recommended approach.
You can run the report “Index server- Active and inactive clients association” to identify the clients and it’s associated index server. You can get the name of the index server from this report and can run the “Change Index Server workflow” to move all of the indexing associations from one MediaAgent to another MediaAgent.
