Hi,

In order to use the Rest APIS we need to setup SSL on our platform. It is unclear where to actually put the certificate (IIS / Tomcat). Could someone confirm it has to be done on Tomcat?

V 11.36.

This page is pointing to IIS configuration :

https://documentation.commvault.com/2024e/expert/rest_api_overview.html

Whereas this page explains out to put a SSL cert on tomcat :

https://documentation.commvault.com/2024e/expert/configuring_secured_access_for_web_applications.html

Regards,

Hello @Pradeep  and thx for answering.

Maybe my question was a bit unclear, I would like to know if the SSL has to be configured on IIS or in Tomcat.

Hi @jxb ,

SSL can be configured for both IIS (used for web services) and Tomcat. Based on the above description, it is recommended to configure SSL for Tomcat to address the issue. Please refer to the documentation below for detailed steps on setting up SSL for Tomcat.
