I have built a brand new 11.40 CommServe and used the CS recovery tool to dump & upgrade my 11.32 database.
I went to run the asbuild guide to document my new build but I see it need the Web Console feature.
I try to push this out as getting “Install Software Skipped. Software selected for install is not supported on this client.”
As Web Console is deprecated in 11.40 why do the BOL tell you its needed and secondly is there another way for me to generate an asbuild doc.

You built a new Commvault 11.40 CommServe and upgraded the DB, but can’t generate the As Built Guide because Web Console is deprecated and not included in 11.40. Attempting to install it fails as it’s unsupported. Ref Doc on Deprecation Notice for Web Console (WC).
The As Built Guide is now generated via Command Center, not Web Console. You can Enable the As Built Guide in Command Center by adding the required additional setting for Enabling the As Built Guide .
Once this setting is enabled, the As Built Guide option should appear in the Command Center under Metrics (Metrics > Worldwide dashboard > Action button > Save As > As Built Guide).
If you need to install the Web Console in the isolated network, request access to obtain the Web Console package using the Request WebConsole Package Access workflow.
