My X server is in A subscription and VSA, MA & Storage account is in B subscription [The X server is backed up with B subscription resources] so would like to know if there are any alternative ways to perform the in-place restoration without creating a new storage account on A subscription and want to my B subscription storage account even for the in-place restoration.

It wouldn’t exactly be an in-place restore coming from a different Azure Subscription, even if its within say the same Azure region at the end of the day. The restored VM will need to be hosted within a Storage Account within the desired destination Azure Subscription (the Azure Instance will need to be stored on a Azure Standard or Premium general-purpose storage account).

You can simply create an Azure HyperVisor for the destination Subscription and create a Storage Account within it to place your VM. (You can always go the managed identities route as well for the Access Node within the source Subscription. However, you (as the Admin) must have access to all of the subscriptions for these VSA proxies.)
