Backing up ESxi host

I have a very silly questions. is it possible to back up the ESXi servers ? i never seen that before but just asking here to know.

Hi @Allan0105 ,

 

We do not protect the ESXi host/configuration itself, but we can protect VM’s running on a standalone host with Essentials licensing level or higher.

 

If you wanted to backup the ESXi host’s configuration, I’d suggest following VMware’s best practises on that: https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2042141
