We have been requested to provide a list of backed up content for an Azure Data Lake Storage instance.
Being a new workload, the intent is to validate the defined content (which uses multiple wildcards) is protecting the required data. Unfortunately, given the number of items associated with the ADLS workload, we don't seem to be able to extract a complete list of backed up items:

CommCell Console seemingly can't handle the number of objects (1.2 million)
CommCell Console reports are limited to 10000 objects.
Command Center doesn't seem to give me an option to export the list.
ListFilesForJob.exe doesn't seem to work at all.

Are there any other simple options in 11.40.x?

Hi Erase4ndReuseMedia,

I thought this would be an easy task but I also struggled with generating a list of protected files when viewing my subclients with a high amount of objects. My results as follows:

Command Center - Viewed a completed windows file system backup job Could not find the option although Arlie tells me its there…

Command Center (Web Interface):

  1. Go to Jobs from the navigation pane.
  2. In the Job ID column, click the job ID for the backup job you want to review.
  3. The job summary dialog appears. Click View job details.
  4. In the job details, look for the section listing backed up files.
    • For file system agents, you may see a list of files and folders backed up.

CommCell Console/Java GUI: I could generate a list of files where the subclient did not contain a high amount of objects. I ‘think’ there are parameter settings for the GUI that limit the amount of results generated in a java window and they can be changed to accommodate a higher result set. However, I couldn't find where to set those values, but I do remember there being an option to do it.

A second option from the Console is to run a File Level Analytics Report and use the JOB ID which did work for generating a list of protected files for my large subclients.
