I am looking for advice on best practices on protecting data that is fairly static, gets updated once or twice a year( at most per quarter), but not on a consistent schedule. Also, looking to store this data in public cloud deep archive.

we need to understand how you want to protect it. Like as flat files or as a database or Virtual machine
Also, if it's changing once or twice in a year will be backing it up twice a year or you want to continue daily backups?
