Only one storage pool leveraging the physical HSX storage is possible. If you had cloud storage that could be a separate storage pool though.

I’m keen to understand the use case though because as @Collin Harper mentioned you could use multiple DDBs or plans for different retention etc.

You can have multiple DDBs on a set of Nodes in the same way you can have multiple DDBs hosted on a set of non-HSX Media Agents.
