I am on 11.24.29 version of Commvault

we have Carbon Black in our environment, which blocks the install of CV Client.

The IT Security team is asking me for the location of the “app”, which I assume is the windows client, that gets pushed to the new Client

  1. where is the location of the Windows Client on the COMMSERVE
  2. what is the path on the Client of where the Client gets copied to before it tries to install it

For question 1, are you asking for the software cache? https://documentation.commvault.com/11.24/expert/2718_managing_commserve_cache.html

For question 2, it’s either C:\cvmedia or C:\program files\commvault\cvmedia depending on the installation type.

There is a carbon black related update in 24.33

Installing update may be blocked by Carbon black software when it is ran outside of the install directory.
