Hello,

In my Commvault servers, I have noticed a massive difference between the size of the Front-End data size and the Total Media Size in Commvault. For example, when I ran a chargeback report, one customer's Front-End data size is 1.5 TB while the Total Media Size was 27 TB. I have checked storage policy settings etc but have not been able to find the reason for this difference in numbers. What else can I check i.e., logs etc to help me find out why there is such a huge difference? I will be grateful for any pointers/advice. Thank you.

Under the Deduplication Engines what do you see there, what's your Dedupe savings percentage, you may be getting low dedupe savings...in general

Look at the backup history of those clients, see what data types you are sending to the Engine, VM, DB, Files System type data etc
