I manager a Commvault system that has been in existence for over 10 years. Throughout the years, engineers and configured and moved mount paths as needed. At this point I have drives with several mount paths on each one. Commvault reports 5 mount paths on a 100TB drive as 500TB. If I show executives utilization reports, it will appear that we have several PB of storage. Storage they know they didn’t purchase. Is there a way to consolidate mount paths, without deleting data, so I can run utilization reports with realistic numbers?

Easiest:  If you have the available space, create a new disk library with 1 mount path, aux copy the data over to the new library and then retire the old disk library.

Thanks,
