What type of backup was ran transaction log backup?

A full backup will run from the primary UNLESS copy-only is selected in Java GUI or ‘Offload full backup’ is selected in Command Center.

However, a transaction log backup will run from the backup preference that is set on the AG properties. This is configured in SQL on the properties of the AG.

More info on backup preference setting for MSSQL here:

You can change this to prefer primary if you want tlogs to also run from primary.

Did you ran into this following an upgrade to another feature release or maintenance release?
