Hi Folks,

we need to create quite a lot of custom packages (rpm) for linux clients on a regular basis (SAP-Oracle, SAP-Hana, Linux-fs, and so on.)

We are currently doing this via ./cvpkgadd and then clicking through a lot of pages until the custom package is finished at the end. is there a way to automate this process via some command line where all necessary options (most of them can be left at the default value) are provided (which packages to include, to which commserve to connect to, ...)?

Thanks for any ideas on this :)

Hi @Alex Zett

You can use unattended install using an answer file.

Please check the documentations → https://documentation.commvault.com/2022e/expert/2083_unattended_installation.html

Hello,
our customer is having exactly the same problem, but we haven't found a solution yet.
The link mentioned as "solution" refers to Unattended Installation, NOT Unattended Package Creation.
Has anyone found a solution?

A support case has also been opened, but so far, they haven't provided a solution.

Thanks
