Commvault VSS Provider Services

Question

Hi all!On our Windows Media Agents i noticed that there are two Commvault Services installed where the startup type is set to “manual”.Commvault VSS Provider Service	Commvault VSS Hardware Provider ServiceDoes that mean that CV will only start these services as needed? When are those services needed?Is there a Service description for WIndows on what each service does in general?Thanks in advance for any input.

Hi CV Team,I have the same issue.Intermittently these two services go down.Our observability team have configured an Alert, when these services are down we get Alert notification.Every time we have to manually start these two services.Can these services be changed from “Manual” to “Automatic”?
