CVSOLR indexing and PST Restores

I’m being told by support that restoring PST is not possible using legacy indexing. That we must build a new Indexing server using CVSOLR indexing in order to restore PSTs. When did legacy indexing get deprecated? 11.34

@NateDogg please share the TR# so I can check the situation.. not sure I understand the situation or why that's a requirement.
