DB2 rollforward restore failed, could you guide how to fix it?

 

Rollforward failed with DB2 error [ ---- error report ---- app. message = rolling forward database line = 7525 file = ClDb2AgentLib.cpp SQLCODE = -1092 SQL1092N The requested command or operation failed because the user ID does not have the authority to perform the requested command or operation. User ID: "BAKUPDB2". --- end error report --- ] on client [azvml-f0gay] for DB [A15].

Hi @xiwen 

Can you ensure the user BACKUPDB2 has the below permissions?

 

A DB2 user must have SYSADM, SYSCTRL, or SYSMAINT and DBADM privileges to run backup and restore operations. For more details, refer to the IBM Knowledge Center website.

appreciate your reply, any chance to use different username for backup and restore? if yes how to change?

hi,

Sure. You should be able to change username and password from the DB2 instance properties in CommCell Console or Command Center.
