Discovered VM's after backup

Forum|alt.badge.img+4

Hi,
Every day, after backups, VM machines are discovered that are not used for backup and do not have agents installed. Removing them from "client compters" doesn't help. VMs have never been used for backup. I ran tests on another environment and after removing the VM this situation did not occur.

Commvault version is 11.24.90. The situation was the same before the upgrade.
Is there a way to turn off auto discovery from vcenter?

Setting “Refresh Datacenters” from the instance level - unchecking the option helped.

Can you tell me if the subclient content is set to “/” or do you have individual VMs listed?

I have individual VMs listed.  Additionally, in Backup Set Property of defaultBackupSet I have filtered unused vm.

Thats why. The vms have to be discovered to be filtered.

rather than filtering out unknown vms tighten up your discovery rules.
you can’t really get around the order of the logic.

filtering happens post discovery in a way.

Unfortunately removing VM’s from the filter didn't help. VM’s are still being discovered.
