if the backup is failed due to Error “ scasi-0-nfs share is not accessible”. how would we troubleshoot it. what are the basic steps to check first?

Hello @Beginner

Thanks for the great question!
VM backups do not protect shared content with the VM. The process of the VM backup is to protect the VMDK’s attached to that server and shared data is not. We will protect the shared details like the fstab files and such but the content will not be protected.

If you do want a backup to follow shares you will need to use the OS backup agent ( be it windows or linux etc ) and configure it to follow those shares.

Hope this helps and answers your questions!

Kind regards

Albert Williams
