Pessoal, notei algumas chamadas do Restore sem ouvir nenhuma ação do Backup Operator.

Gostaria de entender, onde são feitas essas ligações?

E pelo próprio SAP TEAM, através do Hana?

Adding translation:

Guys, I noticed some Restore calls without hearing any action from the Backup Operator. I would like to understand, where are these connections made? And by the SAP TEAM itself, through Hana?

@Carlos Moreira , that’s the most likely explanation, though I’ll see if I can get confirmation.

Hi @Carlos Moreira

Yes, application command line restores mean they are triggered from HANA studio or command line.

Thanks,

Sunil-

@Sunil

Is there any way I can block these restore calls?

Thanks.

There is a way to authenticate the third-party command line job requests.

https://documentation.commvault.com/2022e/expert/22340_configuring_sap_hana_for_commcell_console_third_party_job_authentication.html

Whichever user we are using to generate the login token here, we need to allow backup privileges and restrict the user from running restores. Backup is needed because all HANA log and catalog backups are always application triggered. Without Backup capability, log backups will fail.

Thanks,

Sunil-
