+2How or is it even possible to enable a 25Gb link on hyperscale Dell r740xd2 reference architecture? We have the optics and switches to do 25Gb. But the server doesn’t seem to want to recognize it can do 25Gb.
Tried ethtool -s p1p1 speed 25000 duplex full autoneg off
and
ethtool -s p1p1 autoneg on
Using Broadcom Adv. Dual 25Gb Ethernet
with a P7D7R transceiver.

When looking at the ref. design for hyperscale x they state that the following sfp28 nic's are usabe:
Can you confirm that the part nr. is the same for the part you are using?
If not you might be facing a lack of support from within the OS, this might have been limited by dev within the ref. architecture deployment.
If the part does match, is this a fresh install or are the interfaces placed post installation?
