Error 91:73 How to restore a VM with a down ESX server

Forum|alt.badge.img+7

We have a windows vmware environment using intellisnap v11.30. There are 3 clustered ESX hosts. and just a couple of VMs. I am trying to do a full VM restore test, however the jobs fail because one of the three ESX hosts are down. During the restore, I select a different ESX host, but the restore error shows CV trying to connect to the ESX host that is down. Is there any way around this? Why is it trying to contact the ESX host that is down despite the fact I ask it to use another ESX host?

Error code 91:73 Connection to VM Host <host that is down> has been lost. Please verify the VM hosting services are still running.

Noting that you’ve mentioned IntelliSnap, is it possible that the Client / Subclient “Snap Mount ESX Host” is set to the unavailable ESX host?

Thanks. Ineed the host set was the broken one. I found this here:

Client > Subclient > Properties > Advanced Options > Access Node ESX Servers

Testing a restore again.
