Hi,

we imported Data from the Mailbox Classic Agent to the newer Mailbox Agent. Now we want to delete the old Client in Commvault. Is this possible or do we lose all the data from the old Agent?

Kind Regards

Hello @flokaiser

No you do NOT want to delete that client.

You can however deconfigure that client which will release any potential licensing, etc as well as preventing any schedules/backups.

https://documentation.commvault.com/11.26/expert/29251_completing_import_of_user_mailboxes_into_exchange_mailbox_agent.html

What to Do Next

  • Content that was archived by the classic agent remains until it is aged based on the retention time that you configured in the classic agent. You can deconfigure the classic agent until that retention time is met, after which you can delete the classic agent.
