Extract the list of servers currently backing up in Commvault

There is a requiremment from Unix team to extract a list of Unix servers (no windows or other OS) currently backing up in commvault. Usually I am using report → job summary tab to generate other reports in commvault. Is there any way to generate only Unix servers which are backing up in commvault without missing any servers.

Good morning.  You could put all of the Unix servers into a group and then filter the Job Summary report by Client Group:

 

 

You could also give the Unix subclients a Subclient description and filter for that as well.

Hi @Amit 

Putting all the Unix clients into a Smart Client Group based on operating system is a great idea as @Orazan suggests, this will allow you manage these clients by OS if needed.

I would suggest Client Details Report to display details about clients, that can be filtered on several different criteria, including operating system.

Data Views for the Client Details Report will show summaries and growth over time as well details about different categories of clients.
