Good evening, we have noticed some discrepancies with Commvault backup logs in that we are unable to view failed backup logs for an specific Oracle server.  It seem that when a backup is successfully rerun, the logs are overwritten, and when you try to view them the logs are not available.

Is this a known function?

Regard

Johan

Hi Johan,

The default log file size is 5mb, once we hit this limit, we start to overwrite the file.

If the JOB ID that contains the failure is no longer in the log, we'll display a failure if you try to 'view logs’ from the GUI.

Is this the behaviour you are seeing?
