Failed to download "DotNetCoreWindowsHosting"

Getting this error when trying to install with ExpressMedia v11.24 on Windows Server 2019. Not sure what to do about it.

@thirstler

It does appear to be an issue with the download.

Can we try using the bootstrapper download file, running this from a different machine and choosing the option to build a package to install on another machine?

There should be a third-party folder within the installation media for that. Can you try running it directly from the media? It should give you a better idea of what the issue is.

If it happens to install successfully, just run the CV installer again and resume it from where it left off.

Both resume and clean-up and restart did not work after installing the package by hand.

Possibly a checksum issue? Log snippet:

I can confirm I have the same problem with the same file. Failing checksum.

I can download the file manually from the link provided in the logs. 11.24 and 11.25 downloader.

Hi All,

Recently bootstrapper’s for both FR24 & FR25 have changed. Please download the latest bootstrapper from cloud https://cloud.commvault.com/webconsole/softwarestore/store.do#!/130/655/19980 and retry installation. It should work. Please reply if you are still facing an issue.

I was able to download & create a package on another machine (Win11) and then move everything over to the WIn2019 host and install. Of course, a fixed bootstrapper obviates that. Thanks!

@bhbekkam , you’d have to check the Hitachi portal (or contact their support.

If you don’t see it/can’t get it, let me know and I’ll see what needs to be done.

To confirm, you reached out to Hitachi support and they couldn’t help?

Ah, that changes things!

I would open a support case through HDS.  your support needs to go through them first (and they’ll escalate to our team).

Edit: I had someone check and you are not showing up as HDs support on our portal.  can you confirm you have HDS for support?

Thank you!  I see your engineer is out of the office.  If you log into the portal and view the case, there should be an option to click and have the case requeued.
