File system agent is not visible

Can someone tell me, how to make the file system to be visible in the Agent type.

@kiran if you right click on the client, you should see an option in there to “add or configure the FS agent”

@Gseibak I don’t see any option like that.

Hi @kiran 

Looks like “File system agent” was not explicitly selected during client install. Hence, it’s not visible.

You can “Create File System Agent” by right clicking on the client → All Tasks → Create File System Agent.

You checked Licences as above?

@Sebastien Merluzzi I have VM backup configured for the server.

When I click on release client, instead of showing the licenses it says that it will prune other agent associated backups.

That’s strange, it should have opened a box with SQL Server License.

Could it be that you do not have enough Licenses, have you checked?

Otherwise I would recommend you log a case with Support and we will check.

I have the same in my lab, but can see create File System Agent.

Do you have full permissions?
