Good Afternoon,

Whenever a colleague logs onto one of our laptops they have multiple windows popup and disappear including Commvault edge monitor as it starts. Is it possible to hide the loading screen?

John

Hi @JaeDubbya , and welcome to our community!

So far, all I can find is this setting to hide it in the shortcut menu, though it sounds like it might also hide the notifications as well:

I’m going to ask some of our internal folks to confirm.

Is the startup screen a splash screen or one of those blank command windows?

Yes running that setting does not help as it completely removes Edge monitor.

Thank you.

@Aplynx It’s as splash screen, see attached.

Hello @JaeDubbya

There are no options to hide this splash screen.  Only to hide the whole app like the link in the previous response. I verified with the Dev Edge Team.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks Jim, that is a shame.

Does Commvault have a development request board to request functionality like that?

We don’t have one…...yet.  It’s an option on this community, though we want to ensure it’s lined up with the right folks first.

Either way, you can request a CMR here and we can add it in for you (I’ll consider the above the request).

We will respond back with the CMR number.

@JaeDubbya , dev replied back saying you shouldn’t see the splash screen every time.

Can you confirm how often you see the splash image, as well as what Release you are on?
