With the current cybersecurity landscape, especially in the AI era where vulnerabilities and security threats are evolving rapidly, I’m interested to see how frequently other Commvault admins are updating their environments, particularly given the increasing number of security vulnerabilities and CVEs affecting software in general and Commvault. So, how frequently noways do you normally perform a Maintenance Release update in your customer-managed / self-hosted environments?
In some cases, especially with complex Commvault environments involving multiple sites and components, a Maintenance Release upgrade can take several hours to complete and requires careful planning. Because of this, performing an update every month may not always be practical.
It would be interesting to see what update frequency everyone is currently following.
