Our Commvault disk library has Storage Compliance Lock enabled. The retention setting is 7 days and 1 cycle. How can we delete the final backups of servers that have been decommissioned and will no longer be backed up? Will these backups occupy space in my disk library forever? IS there a way do delete the jobs ?

I do not believe you need to disable Compliance Lock or WORM to age off the last jobs.  You might want to make sure the client is properly Retired and the Commvault software has been uninstalled.

Thanks,
Scott

Confirm Ignore Cycles Retention on De-Configured Clients = 1 and make sure you're using the Retire function in Commvault to properly retire the account. It’s important for the Commvault software to be uninstalled from the client if you want the jobs to age off my days only.

Thanks,
Scott

Hello @Scott Moseman

THanks for answer. I have checked our environment and this option is already enabled. “Ignore Cycles Retention on De-Configured Clients = 1” should we disable  Worm storage  Lock and is there a way to disable complience lock? I only know hot to disable Complience Lock on commvault
