My VMware admin has created new datastores for a restore test but I don’t see them when I attempt a restore. How do I get Commvault to discover new datastores?

Thanks

Ken

[Edit] I’m running Commvault 11.36.83. [/Edit]

Assuming that the datastores have been presented properly to VMware they generally should show up in Commvault, but as they’re not you might have some success running a Refresh Datacenters from the CommCell Console GUI:

However, it is more likely that the datastore is not presented to all hosts in the cluster and the VSA proxies can’t see the datastores which is why Commvault is unable to.

Thanks for the reply - you were correct in the statement that the datastores were not presented to the cluster. It turns out that we have five clusters and the “Restore” datastores were purposely not presented to the production cluster to reduce the risk that a restore would impact the production servers. Once I selected the Development cluster, I could see the desires datastores.
