Hello,

I have a question, how to properly shutdown backup server?

I have a plan to shutdown backup server because upgrade of simpana on other hardware (using the same IP).
Is there any procedure for this or just shutdown server?

Elizabeta

When you say “backup server”  are you referring to the CommServe or the MediaAgent?

You need to worry more about shutdown process with the MediaAgent if it hosts DDBs as the DDB can be corrupted if the MediaAgent is not shut down properly:

Hello,

I do not have Deduplication Base on Media agent installed.
Do  I have to worry especially still about shutdown Commserve?
