I am receiving the following error during my backup “17:158 File system scan failed - there is nothing to back up.” How do I check to ensure there is content present during the backup?

Seeing this error saying no content.

Hi @blistwan

Let me show you how

As the error indicates, there was no content on the client that matched the 'to be backed up' list. The backup operation scanned the defined content in the subclient properties, compared it to the defined filters, as well as content defined in other subclients (within the Backupset) and was left with nothing to back up on the actual client.

To resolve this issue, check the subclient content and filters as well as other subclients in this backupset.

Please check out our documentation for further information

If that answers your question, feel free to mark this post as the correct answer.

Thanks!
