iData agent deployment on VM Templates

Would you recommend installing the iData agent on the VM template?
We need to deploy a Windows file system restore-only agent that is also registered in CommCell for ransomware monitoring (Monitoring Unusual File Activity).
We're looking for a simpler solution than having it installed each time we deploy a new server.

 

We already have VSA backups running in the environment, so the restore-on;y agent installation is primarily for File activity anomaly alerting.

There’s like 100 ways to approach it.

you can install it on the template in a decoupled state and then register it when you need it. 

That seems to be the simplest solution.
