Hi @james.lee ,

It appears that this may be related to an Active Directory authentication or configuration issue, especially since login via the local CommCell account works as expected.

When attempting to connect to the CommCell Console using the AD account, what error message are you seeing? Please also check the EVMgrS.log on the CommServe for any signs of authentication failover or LDAP-related errors during the login attempt.

Could you please review the following and let me know the results?

  • Log in to the CommCell Console using a local Commvault admin account, navigate to Security > Domains, open your domain properties, update the service account password used for AD validation, and click Validate.

  • If there have been changes in your AD environment (e.g., new domain controllers added or old ones retired), update the domain controller entries in Commvault (via local admin login) and verify whether AD validation is successful.

  • If you encounter the message "Invalid domain credentials provided", try performing an LDAP bind using the AD service account (e.g., via ldp.exe). Make sure to avoid using special characters in the password that might cause issues, and confirm that DNS properly resolves your domain and domain controllers.

If domain validation continues to fail after updating the service account in Security > Domains, please review the EVMgrS.log (Java Console) for bind or connectivity errors.

You can also refer to the official documentation on Enabling Single Sign-On with Active Directory for further guidance.

Thanks,
Dheeraj
