Important Update for Version 11.32 Users: .NET 6.0 EOL

Hi folks,

We want to inform our users that software version 11.32 requires Microsoft .NET 6.0, which reached its End of Support (EOS) on November 12, 2024.

📢 Introducing Version 11.32.73 (or higher)

This latest update eliminates the reliance on the now-outdated .NET 6.0 and introduces support for the more secure and modern .NET 8 long term support release. Support for this version of .NET expires in November 2026.

We strongly recommend that all users of version 11.32 upgrade to 11.32.73 or higher to ensure the best experience and maintain a secure environment. You can download a copy of maintenance release 11.32.73 or higher directly from the support portal, or the store site.

I use 11.36.xx but I found that .net 6 is still installed on commvault servers, Is it ok to remove .net 6 manually from commvault servers after .net 8 and 11.32.73 or higher got installed?

Yes, once you have upgraded your Commvault environment to version 11.32.73 (or higher) and confirmed that .NET 8 is installed and operational, .NET 6 is no longer required by Commvault. You can safely uninstall .NET 6, as the updated software no longer relies on it. This helps keep your environment secure and clean. If you have any legacy tools or custom integrations, double-check their .NET requirements before removal.
