index v2 upgrade workflow oracle clients above oracle 8

example of versions for oracle.

hi,

 

a customer of ours was trying to upgrade all clients to indexing V2.

but the for oracle it only states that oracle 8 and Rac are supported. (or that is how i am reading it)

 

so my question is can we upgrade later versions of oracle with this workflow?

This is the supported Agents:

Only OS Oracle 8 and below are supported for the Oracle Agent:

https://documentation.commvault.com/2022e/expert/3044_oracle_system_requirements.html

just to clarify this for our internal docs.

so the oracle 8 in the upgrade workflow refers to Oracle 8 linux version not the oracle database version itself?

I have successfully upgraded an Oracle Agent (DB 19.0.0) to V2 Indexing in my lab, however, can you log a case with Support so we can check your environment and confirm please?
