Hello team,

I want to install commvault agent on a linux machine that is connected to another commserve in another domain.

I want to install a second agent, this agent should be connected to our commserve.

is it possible to do that remotely ?

Do you want the client to be pointed to both CommServe?
If yes, we support multi instancing for some agents.

For remote installation, please refer to this documentation link: https://documentation.commvault.com/11.24/expert/1977_installing_commvault_remotely_using_commcell_console.html

Found a solution here.

use the Install software on the ribbon, not on the existing client and choose install new instance

https://documentation.commvault.com/hitachivantara/v10/article?p=deployment/install/misc/multi_instancing.htm

tested now, I have force the new instance to install on /opt/commvault2 folder but error message is : already installed :(

install from the client works I already made it on another client.

Thanks !
