Is there a way to make a subclient eligible for subclient policy association?

Good Afternoon,

I have a few clients that when I try to associate with the subclient policy their backup-set does not show up.

this is presumably because they are somehow not eligible to setup to use a subclient policy.

Is there a way to make these clients eligible without losing data in the existing subclients?

Thanks.

Chris.

@christopherlecky , is there any chance those clients are already a part of another subclient policy?

If not, what agents are they using?

Are they non-FS agents?

The clients are SQL servers but they are part of a group and the policy is applied to a group.

I don’t think they are in multiple policies, and I am working on a query to find whether or not they are if, you have a report or query that can find that out it would be helpful.

I don’t have a query, though if you go to any example subclient, you should see a note that this subclient is part of a subclient policy (and you won’t be able to change anything).

Unfortunately since we are assigning by groups there is definitely the possibility of the client being the member of several policies.

I am going to put something to find duplicates and share it.

Thanks Mike.
