Hello,

is it possible using permission to limit a user to be able to perform a restore from a copy specific copy only ?

I don’t want the user to restore from the AWS copy for example only the primary !

Thanks

Hi @BloopaAgain .

Good day!

Unfortunately, there is no option to restrict a single user to restore only from a particular copy

@BloopaAgain , By default primary copy will always be picked for restore if copy precedence is not provided. However, I believe there is no restriction in picking a different copy precedence based on user.

Hi @BloopaAgain

This requires some coding but one possibility is to create a business logic workflow to force the copy precendece to be primary copy when a restore is started.

There are some pre-built Business logic workflows for restore in the commvault store which you can use as the starter. here is an example.
