In RHEL 7 and 8 versions, the system state backup failed with this message during 1-touch full backup and incremental backup.
Message: System State Backup Failed: [Error: The following utility is missing from the system [killall]. Install the corresponding rpms/dpkg before running a new incremental one-touch backup]

I desperately need your help

Hi @james.lee
I hope you're doing well!

It seems that the issue might be that Commvault is failing to run the killall command during the backup process. Could you check if the package is installed by running this command in the bash terminal?
bash:# which killall

If it’s not installed, you can install the psmisc package with bash:# yum install psmisc
https://www.linux.co.cr/ldp/lfs/chapter06/psmisc.html

After installation, verify that killall is available by running which killall again, and then try the full or incremental backup once more.
