Hi,

I would like to know if there is a specific procedure for the removal of the Failover package on linux Commservers?

Can I just disable the livesync feature and remove the package or are they some additional steps?

Thx in advance

Hi @JohnX ,

Yes the procedure is correct.

Inorder to uninstall the CommServe LiveSync feature in a Linux environment,  you will need to follow the below:

1. Disable CommServe LiveSync
2. Uninstall the Failover Package on the intended node. If you are removing the Failover package on the StandBy node, you will need to uninstall the CS Instance also.
3. Ensure that any configurations related to LiveSync, such as schedules or replication jobs, are removed.
4. In Client computer list on Commcell Console, ensure that the failover client is not removed.

Hi @Dheeraj Shetty ,

thank you for your answer.

So I should remove Failover Package on instance001 and remove instance002 completely on both Commserves right?

The Instance001 on the production CS shouldn't have a Failover Package.

Disable LiveSync

From the Production CS, uninstall Instance002

From the Standby CS, uninstall Instance001 and 002

That should be all
